Through the fields of hope he roamed,
He saw yet another wilting rose.
Recalling his horrible past,
He knew,
If he cared for the falling beauty,
He would end up bringing misery,
To both himself and the one so lovely.
Never understanding his own fate,
He feels nothing for himself but hate,
Because of his surrounding's chaotic state.
He carried on with a heavy heart,
Putting all the blame on his part,
The world's burden he chose to shoulder,
While none other cared to ponder,
What was the true meaning of suffer.
Upon returning to his private sanctuary,
He was finally able to see,
The deceitful nature beyond his boundary.
The living shunned his very presence,
They despised his very essence,
Even his very existence.
A perfect show they have played,
To show the Devil their sickly state,
Only in his absence did they reveal their true colours.
Seeing through such a nasty facade,
His heart shattered into dust.
As he resorted to isolation,
There were still many who showed false concern,
Even more wished that he'd never return.
His sorrow grew even greater,
When he ultimately discovered.
The one resilient rose he thought he'd protect,
Was one of those whom his presence they'd reject.
Sickened by the untruthful mankind,
Suicidal intentions came to his mind,
To take this world of lies with him he was inclined,
And to leave no trace of life behind.
